About.

Welcome to Olivia Charlotte, a community for nursing and motherhood.

I’m Olivia Charlotte. A twenty-something kiwi nurse, professional writer, and boy mama to Blake and Acrher!

Like many other mamas, I’m trying to juggle work with being a decent mummy, partner and friend… all while keeping my sanity and sense of humour in tact!

Our purpose is to build a community of both mothers and nurses, to contribute their own expertise or stories.

Nursing.

We’d all be worse without a nurse, right?

I chose to become a nurse after discovering my passion for all things medical, I find the human body incredibly interesting. Above all, I’m a people person and I enjoy helping others during their most vulnerable moments. Nursing has opened my eyes to how precious life is, and how we are all the same.

Community is so important. A few years ago I started a group on Facebook to help other international nurses register in the UK; it now has over 2,000 active members.

I plan to interview other nurses in different specialties to gain more insight into the profession, and much more.

We take contributions from nurses of all ages, specialties, and varying experience.

Motherhood.

Being a mama is the most challenging but rewarding job in the world. I offer my perspective on motherhood, becoming a mama in my mid-twenties, and the funny/relatable stories that come with it.

I’d love to speak to other nurses who are also mama’s and write about the challenges of caring for people both in the workplace and at home.

Whether you are a mama to be, a new mama, or a mama of 6, we value you. This is a safe space!
